Bullying Prevention

The district has taken steps to protect students from potential dangers by partnering with the Anonymous Tips website. Students or parents can anonymously report any dangers or issues to administrators who can help.

No Place for Hate schools receive their designation by building inclusive and safe communities in which respect is the goal, and all students can thrive; empowering students, faculty, administration and family members to take a stand against hate and bullying by incorporating new and existing programs under one powerful message; engaging schools and communities in at leas three anti-bias activities per year, which the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) helps to develop; and sending a clear, unified message that all students have a place to belong.

Vista Verde Student Handbook: Resolution of Respect

I will . . .

  • Understand those who are different from me.
  • Speak against discrimination.
  • Support targets of hate.
  • Promote respect and foster a prejudice-free school.
  • Believe that one person can make a difference.
  • Respect individual dignity.

The ADL has named Vista Verde Middle School along with 50 Arizona schools with the No Place for Hate designation for the 2018-2019 school year. These schools were recognized for creating safe and respectful learning environments and bringing awareness to the issues of bullying and bias.
