Heidi Wright

Ms. Wright is the proud Principal of Vista Verde Middle School. Ms. Wright is new to PVSchools and is excited to share in PVSchool's vision to engage, inspire, and nurture our students at the Home of the Jaguars through her commitment to providing a campus community that celebrates diversity, culture, and a commitment to academic excellence. 

Before joining PVSchools, Ms. Wright served as the Assistant Principal for Instruction and the Assistant Principal for Registration in Phoenix Union High School District, leading and supporting instructional initiatives and helping to ensure educational equity and access for all students. Before becoming an administrator, Ms. Wright taught K-12 for over a decade in ELA, Social Studies, and the Arts not only here in Arizona but also overseas in South Korea. 

Ms. Wright holds the following degrees: 

  • Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies: Diversity in Education & Cultural Geography, Arizona State University, 2008
  • Master of Education: Curriculum & Instruction, Arizona State University, 2009
  • Master of Education: Educational Leadership & Administration, Grand Canyon University, 2019

Kimberly Koda Wenger

Kimberly Koda-Wenger is the Assistant Principal of Vista Verde Middle School. Ms. Koda is committed to leading the PBIS program as well as navigating discipline systems at VVMS to ensure student safety and productivity. 

Prior to joining the VVMS community, Ms. Koda taught in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade at Sandpiper Elementary and Desert Shadows Middle School and served in administrative roles at Pinnacle High School. Ms. Koda is a graduate of Horizon High School in PVSchools and is proud to serve as an educator in PVSchools. She received her Bachelor of Science in Cross Categorical Special Education from the University of Arizona and master's in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. Ms. Koda has extensive experience in the field of Special Education and works diligently to build relationships with students so that they are successful in and out of the classroom setting. Ms. Koda's goal is to guide students through the elementary to middle transition and ultimately, be prepared for high school success and graduation.
